A few days after the early death of dearly loved Chair of Ceramica Faetano S.p.A. and Del Conca USA Paolo Mularoni, and just a few hours after his funeral, attended on 26 February by hundreds of shocked and grief-stricken mourners, the Del Conca Group management has already unanimously resolved on a reorganisation of the company with the aim of ensuring continuity.
The Chair of Ceramica del Conca S.p.A. Davide Mularoni, brother of Paolo and Marco, presided over the extraordinary Shareholders’ Meeting, and in his address to all the members of the Board paid an emotional tribute to his brother Paolo “not only for the wonderful job he did with absolute dedication and an exemplary sense of responsibility, but also for the impressive results he achieved at the most difficult times of his term of office, such as during the Covid pandemic and the energy price rises triggered by the two still ongoing wars.” “Recently,” Davide Mularoni underlined, “with the strong unfair competition from foreign countries and further increases in energy prices for European companies, the entire ceramics industry is in serious difficulty and Paolo, who worked tirelessly and with total dedication, suffered great anxiety about these adverse economic conditions.”
“Today, we are all called upon to prove our sense of responsibility and our strong commitment,” Davide Mularoni concluded, “and I am asking my brother Marco Mularoni to step up and make an even greater contribution to the business. The role of Chair is certainly not an easy one to fill - it takes great courage - but Marco will have excellent support and is the best person to represent continuity for the Del Conca Group.”
Marco Mularoni concluded: “We’ve always been ready with a quick, effective response, and today we must look to the future, working as a team and following Paolo’s example.”
