Paris cement tiles for Lo spazio di Mima

La Perpetua - Lo spazio di Mima, a refined home in the historic centre of Noto, a quiet and elegant area, was conceived with the idea of welcoming travellers looking to get away from it all.

Mima also likes to feel at home when she travels and this is why Maria (Mima) and her husband Corrado decided to convert this structure into a B&B.  The owners’ children, Eleonora, Giuseppe and Chiara, two of whom architects and the other an engineer, oversaw the project which stands out for its custom-designed furnishings, designer lamps and typically Sicilian handcrafted elements.

The rooms of this family-run residence, located in a very quiet and relaxing area, are expertly furnished with the emphasis on clean and minimalist designs and the abundant reuse of rural elements for the decor. The wooden ladders, in all shapes and sizes, are one notable recurring detail.

This elegant holiday home consists of three luxurious and independent double rooms, a common dining room and a terrace with panoramic view over the valley. The first-floor bedroom opens out onto a comfortable and intimate little terrace, which sits in the shadows of the dome of the SS. Crocifisso church. The beating heart of Lo spazio di Mima is the common room, a meeting place for travellers and a place to frequent at any time of day.

Small Ceramica Faetano tiles from the Paris collection - Bercy decor in black enamelled porcelain stoneware - have been used in all common spaces, bedrooms and bathrooms of the house. A ceramic series that offers a modern take on the charm of traditional decorated cement tiles with its floral patterns and geometric motifs, for floors and wall tiles destined to last forever. Alternating colours, black and white, but also more sophisticated decorative solutions produced with golds, meanders and friezes that interpret the characteristics of the Liberty and Art Deco styles. With these little tiles the house welcomes and reassures, exuding the charm of memories and traditions.

Located to the north of Noto, in one of the town’s quietest and most relaxing residential districts, La Perpetua – Lo spazio di Mima is the ideal place for enjoying a relaxing holiday in Noto and chilling out to the enchanting summertime song of the cicadas.
