A private residence in Lecco features an evocative combination of furnishings with a modern design and a coloured porcelain stoneware floor made with Ceramica Faetano’s vintage London cement tiles. This solution also stems from the need to combine materials with different characteristics in a single room: more durable flooring in the kitchen and classic parquet in the living room. In this respect, cement tiles are well-suited to switching from one material to another.
The living room and kitchen are the heart of this house. The modern white lacquered kitchen with a central peninsula has been visually joined to the living room and dining room by removing the partition doors and inserting a glass wall and a Manhattan sliding door by HenryGlass, entirely made to measure, with a clean, linear look, framed in glass. The rooms remain separate but harmoniously flow into each other.
Ceramica Faetano’s London collection of cement tiles in the 20×20 cm size was designed not only for laying on the floor, but also as a ceramic wall covering. 5 decors (Camden, Mayfair, Notting Hill, Soho and Whitechapel) and 4 base colours to match (Bianco, Ciano, Grigio and Tortora). A perfect mix of graphic patterns and colours that make London the ideal solution for every room, from the living area to the bathroom, not to mention the kitchen, for all those who want to be carried away by nostalgia and to recreate the vintage atmosphere of a refined, sophisticated style on the floors or walls of their homes, just like the old cement tiles from the Sixties and Seventies.
The colours and furnishings in this elegant private residence were chosen by the designer who, with her personal taste, together with the owners, managed to perfectly combine tradition and innovation.
