On stage, Stefania Leardini (chair of the Cino Mularoni Foundation) and Sergio Barducci (author of the book, writer, journalist, and commentator on the political and social life of San Marino for the last twenty-fi ve years) chronicled the life of this great man before an audience of local residents, current and past employees of Ceramica del Conca and Faetano, institutions and authorities, as well as representatives of associations, banks, and the company’s entire current management team.
The story is that of an motivated, enlightened entrepreneur and of a man, Cino Mularoni, who - as a child - dreamed of becoming a school teacher like his mother but found himself forced to take a different route. A business leader who, despite fi nding fortune in the States, decided to come home, bringing back with him everything he had learnt over there, in those lands offering a glimpse of the future of the world. Cino wanted to bring the future to Italy and San Marino, where he’d been born and raised, and he went about it by founding fi rst ICAR (a ready-mix concrete manufacturing fi rm which he later sold to Ferruzzi Group) and subsequently acquiring a company in distress in San Clemente, from which Ceramica del Conca was born in 1979, and - fi nally - dedicating himself to the growth of Ceramica Faetano.
