Hotel Resort Kristall, stone-effect floors and designer bathroom furnishings with Dolomite view

Plan de Corones is a mountain in the south-eastern Alps which forms the watershed between the Val Pusteria and Val di Marebbe, in South Tyrol, not far from Brunico. This, and more specifically the Valdaora, is the splendid setting of Kronplatz-Resort Hotel Kristall, the ideal place for the holiday of your dreams, on the ski slopes, in the spa, enjoying mountain walks or discovering the enchanted landscapes of the Dolomites.

This hotel de charme is in sophisticated style, in line with the dictates of contemporary interior design. All Hotel Kristall rooms are comfortable and modern, and every one is en-suite. Stoneware floor and wall tiles from the Stelvio collection by Ceramica del Conca combine to perfection with the natural materials chosen for the bathroom furnishings, including the immaculate wooden washbasin counter. Stelvio is a collection of wall tiles inspired by an Italian stone named “Ceppo di Gré”, quarried from Mount Clemo. It is a stone-effect porcelain stoneware produced in various sizes, perfect both in residential contexts and in contract projects like the one considered here. The large 120x120cm size enables the creation of continuous floor coverings with very few joints, but the collection also includes medium and large sizes – 80x80, 60x120 and 40x80.

The Hotel Resort Kristall’s choice of stone-effect stoneware sets out to create a link with the splendid natural surroundings, with their mountains and forests, without neglecting the need to construct comfortable bathrooms ready to welcome guests with a hot shower after a tiring day on the pistes. The matt black colour taps combine beautifully with the bathroom furnishings and the grey colour of the Stelvio tiles, in a modern, striking design scheme. Oval mirrors with black frames, inset wall lights to highlight the stone-effect wall tiles and a rich courtesy set make these bathrooms perfect for a holiday to remember.

Some of the hotel’s rooms enjoy a splendid Dolomite view. What’s more, the offering of relaxation options is completed by a spa with swimming-pool, sauna and Finnish, Turkish and herb baths and an outdoor hot tub. The Chef’s cuisine in the restaurant is based on regional specialities and traditional dishes, made with zero-food-miles ingredients.
